Lucky, lucky Seattle that Book Larder calls this city home. This candy store for cookbook hounds and food lovers is a unique destination that celebrates all delicious things in print. For Independent Bookstore Day, I’m joining a number of other local food writers to sign books and join in celebrating indie stores that make buying books such a pleasure. It’s an honor to be on the host committee for this wonderful event that is bringing Jacques Pepin to Seattle. His foundation seeks to enrich people and communities through the power of culinary education. A mission that aligns beautifully with that of FareStart, which aims to transform lives through culinary job training.
